So on Tuesday I was leaving the Apartment and I really don't know what happened but I took a little spill. Jacob thinks that my heel went off the sidewalk. I fell on my hands and knees and then went down further. Jacob said it was the longest fall he had ever seen and is pretty sure it would be a world record! I was really just glad that he was there. I called the Doctor and the nurse told me to lay down and see if she kicked 10 times in an hour and she kicked about 25 times and continued to tell me what she though about the whole incident for the rest of the evening! Needless to say we are all OK! But all of my heels have been retired until the Spring!

Baby Shower

So last weekend our best friends and family came together to celebrate our precious baby girl on the way. It was really great to hang out with everyone and to celebrate our upcoming edition. Jacob and I are so thankful for all the wonderful gifts and overwhelming support. We are so lucky to have such great family and friends! Here are a few pics for you to enjoy!

Baby Excitement

So tomorrow is my baby shower. I am very excited. One of my very good friends and her daughter, my sister, sister-in-law, kids, and brother came tonight. Saturday Jacob went golfing and then we cooked out and celebrated his accomplishments with family and friends. We had a really great weekend and truly appreciate all the presents and support.

Of course no Master's celebration would be complete without the gift of a transformer helmet! So now as we relax and watch Football I leave you with a picture of a very happy Jacob!

I am happy to let each of you know that we are done with school in our house!!!!! Jacob completed his Master's degree this summer and graduated on Friday night.

The evening started off nervously......for the last month Jacob has been waiting to find out for sure if he was graduating or not. He emailed people, called people, and basically drove himself crazy. Finally this past Wednesday he talked to someone who said oh yeah we mailed you a letter in July but it came back to us I guess we had your address wrong! Evidently they are not familiar with trying again! Anyway back to Friday, all the way to the gym Jacob kept saying I hope my name's on the list. So we walked in and I grabbed a program and we frantically searched for his name......thank goodnes it was there (Ialways knew it would be)! So there we were, Jacob had to go line up and I took on the challenge of saving seats expecting the rest of our family to be there ASAP to help me. Little did I know that would not be the case and instead I was forced to ward off seat stealers for quite some time. I was forced to stick out my belly as far as I could so people would avoid making me mad but there were some very persistent people who wanted my seats. Thank God for the people behind me who helped me to laugh it off and ward off others. Finally everyone showed up and the party started.

The graduates marched in and I noticed that the seats were filling up rather quickly and there were still graduated coming. Turns out they didn't set up enough seats........

The ceremony was nice and pretty quick, although not quick enough for all of our group!

We are all very proud of Jacob's accomplishments. He is the most driven person I know and when he sets his mind on a "challange" he will complete it.

Girl or Boy?

Well we went to the doctor today and got our first baby pictures! The doctor said that the baby is perfectly healthy and weighs about 9 oz. Our little bundle of joy was very active and moved around the whole time. For the past couple of days Jacob has been talking to the baby and telling him or her that they needed to let us know what they were or they would be grounded as soon as they came out! Well we have a very obedient child because as soon as the technician started looking she said oh...............................

We're Pregnant

So it's not really a surprise most of you already know this but to make it official here you go! My due date is January 2nd and we are very excited. I have been feeling pretty good especially these last couple of weeks just really tired! As soon as we have more news we will let you know. Right now we can just use prayers for a healthy baby and for me not to go crazy in the process of it all!

OK I know that I have been really bad about updating my blog, but the tiredness has set in. Here is our life over the last 4 months in pics! First Mom drug me to see the President. We did see him but it was on a huge screen not in person. Everyone had huge "W" signs. I was fun! For our Anniversary I framed our vows and we hung them up in our apartment

Valentines Day

Our Valentines Day officially started on Friday. I took the day off and snuck into Jacob's office when he was at a meeting to hang some pictures from North Carolina. His office is very sad and dismal and really needs some decorating. So M&M feel free to do some artwork! Anyway after that I got to go get my hair cut. I love going to the salon because it is the only time I get to be around just women and get some talking time about nothing really! Next I got to go back to Jacob's school to enjoy some Valentines Day Fun!!!! Let me just tell you the difference between this years Valentines day for Jacob and last year. Last year he was probably yelled at, pushed, and didn't even realize what day it was at work. This year was full of valentines, flowers, and candy from his students! It was so much fun to sit in the front and watch all the kids walk out with their goodies and tell him Happy Valentines Day! After that Jacob gave me roses (which he had sticking out of a bowl of water in the sink by his office). On Saturday we got the privilege of attending a Special Olympics dinner and dance. It was so much fun to see all the athletes dressed up and dancing. I even got to take a spin around the dance floor a few times with some athletes (including dancing to the hokey pokey!). It might not have been a traditional first Valentines day but it was a lot of fun!

8 month Anniversary

On November 15th Jacob and I celebrated our 8 month anniversary by enjoying a free night in our hotel (hotel we stayed in for the first two nights after our wedding). Jacob surprised me with 8 roses, an edible arrangement, champagne on ice with our toasting glasses from our wedding, and a willow tree figurine that I have been wanting. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner and some much needed rest and relaxation. I am so thankful to have such a thoughtful husband who is very romantic and really thinks about what would make me happy! I really love being married to Jacob!

Macy, Marshall, Sean, Julie, and Kim came to spend the week and celebrate Thanksgiving. We have had a lot of fun so far. On Thanksgiving Eve we went to Chuck E Cheese to play games and I think that the adults had more fun than the kids!

Lola is our youngest Pug and as it turns out our smartest dog! She hates to get up in the morning (something she and I have in common). She makes you pull her out of her crate and tries everything she can to keep from going outside. She will sneak back in the room and get back in her crate, sneak into another room and hide on the floor, or her newest trick is to come and get in our bed. The other morning Jacob was at work and I was home. I let all the dogs out and Red, Moe, and Abby went outside happy as could be. Lola however was found in bed, so her and I spent about an hour snuggling and taking pics. Here are a few!

After the Texas game we spent the night at the Caldwell house and got to spend time with Carrianne and Grace the next morning. We always enjoy our breakfasts and time with them. Grace really loves to hang out with Jacob mainly because she thinks he is just a big kid there to play with her. She has tons of fun and Jacob has officially nicknamed her Grace-o!

November 1st 2008 was a great day! I cannot express the pride that comes from beating Texas especially when they are ranked number 1 and are undefeated. Texas Tech has had a great season and we enjoyed every minute of this very exciting game.

This weekend we enjoyed a lazy weekend filled with football and board games. Alex, Norima, and the girls came over to be lazy with us and Jasmine thoroughly enjoyed beating her Uncle J and several activities!

Tech Game #2

Last night we got to enjoy our second Tech Home game of the season (if you can call it a game, poor SMU). We had tons of fun and got to catch up with a few old friends. I ran into a friend from High School and got to spend some time catching up with her and making some plans for the future since we both broke out of Tomball and have both made our home Midland. Jacob and I also got to spend time with our favorite newly married couple Steve and Cynthia. We got the pleasure of attending their wedding three weeks ago and haven't seen them since. Jacob and Steve went to school together and have been like brothers ever since and we are so excited to welcome Cynthia to the family also! It's also really fun to have another newly married couple to hang out with!

Labor Day Weekend

KK was ever so nice to drive all this way to see us this weekend and to bring two passengers with her! Macy and Marshall are having a great time playing with PaPa, Nonnie, Uncle Jacob and Aunt Megan. We have been riding bikes, putting puzzles together, watching movies, going to the playground, and cooking.

We are truly enjoying having them here and

getting to spend time with them. They are keeping

us on our toes and laughing constantly with their

funny little personalities. We will be sad to see them go tomorrow it will be very quiet here after they leave!

First Tech Game

College Football is FINALLY Back!!!!!

It has been a long summer and Jacob and I couldn't be happier that the wait is finally over. We had a blast on our quick trip to Lubbock and back to watch Tech beat Eastern Washington. There was a group of students who painted their bodies and stood together saying We have a dream...14-0! I think all raider fans have that same dream this year! GO TECH!!!!!

North Carolina Here We COME!!!!!

Well all of Jacob's dreams came true last week, as we spent a week in his version of Heaven. Jacob and I along with mom and dad spent the week in North Carolina. We went to Winston Salem and spent the week at Worldview Academy's camp at Wakeforest. We had so much fun enjoying the atmosphere and culture. As it turns out we don't really have trees in Texas compared to those in North Carolina. Jacob and I enjoyed spending a lot of time at Chapel Hill and taking in all of the tradition and history of UNC.

The Dean Dome was the main attraction and I think we took about 300 pictures of it. We also visited the Basketball Museum, Franklin Street, and Wakeforest's campus as well. Jacob and I got the privilege of watching some of the UNC boys workout to get read for next season as well as getting the autograph of Hubert Davis a former UNC and NBA player. All in all it was a great week of relaxing and exploring. We are really grateful to mom and dad for making it all happen.
